The Answer to My 2 Truths and A Lie Post

A few of you got it right!

A few days ago, I responded to a 2 Truths and a Lie writing challenge that Paul Combs invited me to participate in. If you haven’t read that article, you can do so here:

Don’t Believe Everything You Read On The Internet Is True…

As a recap, these were the three options:

1. Seeing the Japanese prime minister while visiting Buckingham Palace
2. Feeding meerkats at the zoo
3. Meeting my favorite author at the grocery store, and having her sign my baseball cap

As a lot of you correctly guessed, #3 is the lie.

I did actually meet my favorite author one time, but it wasn’t at a grocery store. It was at a book signing. And when I was there, I completely froze up. I couldn’t speak to her because I was so nervous and star-struck. (I think it’s also important to point out I was about fourteen at the time). Luckily, my mom and little brother were also there and spoke to her so the whole interaction wasn’t completely awkward.
